Marriott International (NASDAQ: MAR) continues to expand in Eastern Europe, opening its first hotel in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, later this year. Marriott International, a brand specifically tailored to the needs of business travelers, plans to open its first hotels in Serbia and Montenegro next year as part of its ongoing efforts to continue and expand in Western Europe.
The hotel will be part of the Residence Inn Sarajevo, which will be opened in early 2015 and will be the first of its kind in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the second in Serbia.
The Residence Inn Marriott is also the first Marriott hotel in the region and will enrich the existing range of hotels in Sarajevo, continuing Marriott's global business philosophy.
